[Unlocalized](https://unlocalizedpod.com){:target="_blank"} is a podcast and
short-form show I co-host with [Jay Lee](https://www.linkedin.com/in/jayyounglee/){:target="_blank"}.
The tagline is "Business stories from the other side." We cover the founders
and businesses in Korea, and increasingly the rest of Asia, that
English-language media tends to overlook, in English, from Seoul.

## What the show covers

Each long-form episode is either a conversation with a founder or operator, or
a deep dive on one company or trend: how Mega Coffee turned budget espresso
into a half-billion-dollar business, why Korea succeeded at unmanned retail
where Amazon Go stalled, how SK Hynix became the king of memory, whether Gentle
Monster is on the decline, and why Jensen Huang keeps coming to Korea. Guests
have included founders, investors, consultants, and creators working across
Korea and the United States.

Short-form videos on Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok are cut from the
episodes or filmed on their own, and are now where most of our effort goes.
